The press conference for the Suzhou WTA 125 was held at the newly opened Sungent International Tennis Center in Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort, SIP, on Sept 5. The tournament, the first international Class A tennis event at the venue, will feature 58 high-level matches beside the scenic Yangcheng Lake.

Qualifying rounds are scheduled from Sept 27 to 28, followed by the main draw matches from Sept 29 to Oct 5. The women’s singles and doubles finals will take place on the afternoon of Oct 5.

The tournament will bring together about 80 female players including those among the world’s top 100 players, such as Rebecca Sramkova (No.35), Tatjana Maria (No.42), and Marie Bouzkova (No.44), and emerging stars Lois Boisson (No.46) and Alexandra Eala (No.75).
